Veteran outside linebacker Kyle Vanoy signs with Chargers jersey 2022
On Thursday, US time, the Lightning officially announced that it will sign veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy. Details of the contract have not yet been released.
The Chargers spent a lot on defense this offseason. They traded for pass rusher Khalil Mack and signed cornerback J.C. Jackson and defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph. Day (Sebastian Joseph-Day).
The Patriots waived Vanoy in March, freeing up about $4.1 million in cap space. In all 16 regular-season games for the Patriots last season, Vanoy completed a total of 66 tackles, 5 sacks, 10 broken passes, a forced fumble, and an interception and return for a touchdown.
Vanoy, a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Patriots, signed with the Dolphins for the 2020 season but returned to the Patriots a year later. In eight years of his career, Vanoy completed a total of 28.5 sacks.
