The team said in a statement: “We have relieved Mike Mayok of the general manager position. We thank Mike for his dedication over the past three years as he helped the team lay the foundation and prepare for the future.”
According to reports, the Raiders have begun the search for a successor, and they have applied to interview Patriots player personnel director Dave Ziegler (Dave Ziegler). The search for a new head coach is also underway, with interim head coach Rich Bisaccia having spoken to owner Mark Davis. The Raiders also applied to interview Patriots interior linebackers coach Jerod Mayo.
Mayok shared decision-making power with former coach Jon Gruden during his tenure, and Gruden even had the final say. Most of the 23 draft picks during their time together failed to make a splash. Three first-round picks in the same year were used to select defensive end Clelin Ferrell and running back Josh Jacobs. Booth (Josh Jacobs) and strong guard Jonathan – Abram (Johnathan Abram). Ferrer’s contribution is more in the special services team than defense. Jacobs rushes for 1,000 yards in two seasons, but his output has plummeted this year.
