Bengals renew head coach Zach Taylor through 2026 season

On Wednesday, US time, the Cincinnati Bengals officially announced that they have renewed their contract with head coach Zac Taylor until the end of the 2026 season. His contract was originally set to expire after the 2022 season.
The Bengals won their first playoff game in 31 years this year and made it to the Super Bowl.
“Zach has developed a long-term and successful franchise for us,” Bengals chairman Mike Brown said in a statement. “His hard work has come to fruition this year, and our players and coaches have a lot of respect for him.”
“I’m aware of Zach’s hard work and passion, and it affects the team and the club as a whole. I’m happy with the way he works and think Cincinnati feels the same as me and the players. He brings joy here, It also deserves recognition.”
Taylor led the three-year record of 16-32-1. Last season, the Bengals went 10-7 in the regular season and won the AL North Championship.
